Black Ball

Blackball is a cue sport played on a rectangular, six-pocket table, much like pool. The game uses fifteen object balls: seven solids numbered 1 through 7, seven stripes numbered 9 through 15, and the black 8-ball. Following the break, each player is assigned either the solids or the stripes and must pocket balls from that group. To win, a player must first clear all of their assigned balls from the table, then legally sink the 8-ball. Victory requires more than accurate shots: players must also control the cue ball, plan their positions carefully, and make thoughtful tactical decisions while coping with pressure and the game’s strict rules.
